YHS Drama Brings Clue to Life

Mark your calendar for November 15th and 16th to come see Yorktown High School’s fall drama production, Murder’s in the Heir.  Based on the classic board game Clue, this comedic murder mystery is a must-see.

In the first act, the billionaire reveals that he will decrease the money each heir will receive after his death, which causes a murderous commotion in Starkweather Mansion. Each heir will have a motive, a weapon, and the opportunity to murder the victim.

And the audience gets to be part of the show too! During the first act, you will get to vote on which heir YOU think is the murderer of the billionaire on the ballot that will be found in your playbill.

Throughout the second act, try to be an “armchair detective.”  You get to see if you can tell who the murderer is through subtle clues given by the cast.

This year, the show has two different casts performing each night, one performing on Friday and another performing on Saturday. Because you will be voting on who you think the murderer is, each night will have a different outcome. Here’s a word from some of our cast members:

“It has been so wonderful seeing the show come together! I can’t wait for everyone to come see it!” – Sophomore Eryckah Barragan playing Kathy Collins

“So fun to be a part of, extremely entertaining, and overall a great production!”- Freshman Holly Hindle playing Nancy Pollard
